Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API
- A new, unparalleled anti-bootkit module has been activated to bypass any bootkit disguises. This module was previously activated in CureIt! and proved its effectiveness on real tasks.
- Implemented and activated new behavior-based algorithms designed to protect against system compromise through remote access (RDP), which is important for businesses. Those protection algorithms are to work both for our product and the entire system.
- Improved algorithms for detecting malicious behavior aimed at compromising the system and applications. Some of those algorithms are moved to the OS kernel to prevent the possibility of bypassing.
- Algorithms for scanning and file processing have been redesigned to reduce the load on the OS and RAM. On-demand checking of process memory has also been improved; it is now less resource-intensive for most systems. These changes are beneficial for memory-intensive applications, such as database management systems.
- The module responsible for parsing and scanning UEFI firmware is completely redesigned, which has increased the efficiency of implant recognition and stability of the product.
- Internal changes and optimization of all key subsystems of the anti-rootkit module. Improved stability, reduced resource consumption, increased speed of the main parsers, such as the ones for registry, file formats, etc.
- Reworked the report collection for technical support. It became faster and consumes less resources.
- Optimized background check for rootkits. Many operations have become even less noticeable.
- Improved the algorithms for recognizing encoders, as well as malware analysis based on machine learning algorithms.
- Improved stability when dealing with issues accessing a file during the scan (most often due to hard drive or file system issues).
- Fixed bugs in the algorithms for intercepting file operations that could lead to access conflicts in third-party applications.
